Jo first studied Costume Design and Theatrical Make-up at the London College of Fashion with a view to working in creature and puppet workshops - but her love of illustration drew her to set up her own small publishing company. After moving to the New Forest in 2009, Jo fell in love with the enchanting forest where, surrounded by the trees, the first flicker of an idea emerged. Jo's love of folklore, faeries and Scandinavian design collided with the energy of the forest and the Deer Little Forest was born!
Her instantly recognizable illustrations - sold around the world at major retailers such as Paperchase, Liberty, Selfridges, Harrods, John Lewis, and Somerset House - are crafted by hand using a clever combination of paper cutting, illustration, puppetry and photography.
In 2013 Jo was nominated for the prestigious Henries 'Most promising Artist/ Designer' Award.
